The Problem of Truth

According to the concept of dialectical materialismthe human knowledge that is acquired as a result of abstract thinking, living contemplation and tested by practice, is authentic. It should be noted that the main concepts of truth were considered by different philosophers. At the same time, only dialectical materialism was able to provide an objective justification for the reliability of this knowledge.

The problem of truth in science is examined from two sides.

First, you should determine whether it exists. In other words, can such content exist in the human concept, which does not depend on the person himself.

If it does occur, then in this case there existsIs the phase of objective truth in the view ?! In other words, whether its absolute (phase) expressions are present or only approximate, relative expressions are present.

The problem of truth is reflected in the teachings of the idealists. They believe that human knowledge has a dependence on the subject, the idea of an absolute spirit.

For example, for the Machist idealistsThe problem of truth was reduced to the ideological and organizing form of human experience. Thus, objectivity was cited as "valid". At the same time, the problem of truth is that it can not be objective and independent of humanity. Some religious doctrines can be brought to this concept. Machists erased the line between religious and scientific dogma, since the former and today can act as "ideological forms."

Pragmatists argued in the spirit of the Machists. For pragmatists, truth was all "useful for practical purposes."

There are objective laws of thinking, of society, nature. According to the concept of modern fideism, science does not claim to have objective truth. However, without the recognition of the second, there is no first. Thus, the scientific worldview has a close connection with objective truth. As a result, an idealistic worldview is destroyed.

The problem of truth is solved by dialecticalmaterialism. This direction, recognizing the "objective", indicates a partial, gradual cognition of it. At the same time, in every historical period knowledge is limited. However, these boundaries are relative and almost continuously expanding in accordance with scientific and technological achievements. In connection with the fact that the development of cognition is a continuous process, then human knowledge is incomplete, incomplete and relative.

Thus, dialectical materialismThe relativity of truth is recognized, but only in the sense of the incompleteness of knowledge in a particular area at a particular moment. Relativity is due, mainly, to the eternal and endless change and development of the world. Along with this, people's knowledge of the world is developing and deepening.

Man's thinking is capable of giving an absolutetruth. It leads to recognition of the existence of the surrounding world. Absolute knowledge is present in all sciences. How much human knowledge is objective, so there is in it "absolute grain".

According to the direction of dialectical materialism, there is no abstract truth. It is always concrete.

Relative and absolute truth are twowhich constitute the truths of the objective. They differ in the degree of accuracy, completeness. In every objective there is a particle of the absolute. In this case, the absolute consists of a set of relative, which opens constantly developing technology and science. The limits of knowledge are broadened by new discoveries.

There is a continuous refinement, replenishment of the truth. Thus, it more and more faithfully and fully reflects the essence of the infinite material world.
