The RF Air Code: structure and content

The Air Code of the Russian Federation is a legislative act. It regulates relations in the use of airspace and the functioning of aviation. Compared with its predecessors, developed in the USSR, it can be called a qualitatively different document. The Air Code of the Russian Federation regulates not only flights of aviation, but all that directly or indirectly can be a potential threat to their security. In particular, it regulates how it is necessary to carry out blasting operations, firing, launching missiles, etc.

The Air Code of the Russian Federation consists of eighteen chapters. The general part describes the issues of sovereignty of the sky over the territory of the country, international agreements and Russian legislation in this area. In addition, in this part, the Air Code declares mandatory licensing and certification in aviation.

The second chapter is devoted to state regulationuse of space over the territory of the country. It contains data on its structure. In the third chapter, the RF Air Code describes state regulation in the aviation sphere. In addition, it gives a definition of its types: military, civil, experimental. The fourth part is devoted to state control in this area. The fifth chapter gives the concept of an aircraft. Also, the law requirements related to its operation are given.

In the sixth part, the RF Air Code clarifieseverything that is connected with the ground infrastructure. The concepts of the airport, landing areas, heliports, and aerodromes are given. The main requirements for their organization, placement, maintenance, certification are described. The seventh and eighth chapters deal with air crews and their personnel. The ninth part is devoted to aviation enterprises, commercial activities in the field of air transportation, including the establishment of tariffs and charges. The tenth chapter regulates flights of aircraft. It highlights the issues of admission and training of aircraft, documentation on board, provision of flight plans and communications. It also regulates the use of photo and video equipment, as well as other means of remote sensing of the earth. International flights are regulated by the eleventh chapter of the code, the twelfth describes issues of aviation security. The requirements for rescue and search in the event of a disaster are given in the thirteenth part. It defines what exactly includes the provision of rescue and search operations, what signals are, when all procedures are completed. Chapter Fourteen regulates the investigation of incidents. The following two parts describe aviation work and air transportation.
